Kit List

The following kit is recommended for our trip by Ridgeway Adventure.

In addition to the clothing you travel in, you will need to bring the following as a minimum. Please pack into a holdall or rucksack if you have one, as suitcases are not suitable in our location. You must be able to carry all of your kit.

Hire of kit from Ridgway Adventure

Items marked ‘*’ can be hired from Ridgway Adventure. Please contact NLM if you wish to find out more about hiring equipment.

Please do NOT Bring …

  • Please do not bring knives, aerosol cans, chewing gum, expensive watches or other precious items.
  • No mobile phones or electronics.
  • · There is no need to bring a camera as the staff will take a lot of pictures (over 1,000 last year) and the children can concentrate on the activities.
  • · Please do not pack a huge quantity of fizzy drinks, sweets and crisps: the food at the centre is excellent (ask children who have been on the trip previously)
  • · Please be sure to take all kit home at the end of the trip – repatriating kit is awkward as Ridgeway are not close to a post office. £25 + postage will be charged by Ridgeway if required.
